| Project
Summary |
:
|
The
Project is an integrated one divided into two
parts. The first part involves the extraction
of GLUCOSE SYRUP from cassava tubers by means
of an enzymatic bio-chemical process. Glucose
syrup has many industrial applications, including
the production of non-alcoholic beverages, array
of food items, pharmaceutical products, liquor
and alcohol etc.
Ghana
imports about 80% of her glucose syrup requirements;
while a preliminary survey conducted recently
indicates that ECOWAS member countries import
a good quantity of the syrup for their industries.
Part two of the
project is the production of DEHYDRATED DRIED
FRUITS, such as pineapples, papayas, mangoes,
bananas, avocado-pears etc by means of OSMOTIC
PROCESS, employing glucose syrup as the osmotic
medium. Thus the first and second part of the
project, if implemented simultaneously, will complement
each other and yield maximum results.

The
company was set up in 1992 and has been collecting
wastes and garbage for nearly 10 years. The tonnage
of wastes for the city where the company is working

000 tons a year.
The

capacity to match with this new market. It, therefore
requires technical and financial assistance of
a foreign partner for the expansion and to acquire
the necessary equipment (in particular 2 waste
disposal trucks).
Know-how
for the treatment and addition of value to the
