Ghana imports about 80% of her glucose syrup requirements; while a preliminary survey conducted recently indicates that ECOWAS member countries import a good quantity of the syrup for their industries.

Part two of the project is the production of DEHYDRATED DRIED FRUITS, such as pineapples, papayas, mangoes, bananas, avocado-pears etc by means of OSMOTIC PROCESS, employing glucose syrup as the osmotic medium. Thus the first and second part of the project, if implemented simultaneously, will complement each other and yield maximum results.
